A new learning style in COVID-19 - flipped learning with TED Ed

Image
Flipped learning is popular nowadays, especially during the outbreak of COVID-19 as it helps to minimise direct contact among different groups. Instead of traditional way of learning - teachers perform the role of transferring knowledge to students, this kind of learning involves students' self-learning since they need to obtain knowledge from the content provided before participating in the class. In my opinion, the main advantage of flipped learning would be personal agency and ease of revision. It allows students to choose their own time and pattern of studying instead of a fixed schedule. Also, students can do revision whenever they like after the class as to consolidate their knowledge. The learning tool that I introduce this time - If flipped learning is implemented in your school, you can consider using the tool. It is TED Ed . Hand-drawn Mind Map? Why not Conceptboard?

Image
Learning itself is a process of socialisation and acculturation through interaction with more knowledgeable others in pursuit of a learning goal, according to Cullen (2013). Compared with learning individually, it will be more effective if students learn together because it creates an active learning community, which allows learners to achieve their learning goals by exchanging their knowledge and thus build confidence and social relationship on learning. As collaboration is a situation that two or more people learn or attempt to learn something together, the following learning tools that I'm going to introduce requires two or more students to participate. You can consider to introduce it to your students for finishing their group tasks like group discussion or group projects. This time I'm going to introduce Conceptboard to you. Conceptboard Conceptboard is a tool that allows you to collect and organise your ideas by using different kinds of Mind Maps. Although the target of...
